Here are some games that relate to math skills that we are working on currently (namely number, expanded, and word form of whole numbers).
Here are 3 apps the kids are begging for from today's math lesson. The first two apps are Measure Time and Length & Measure Length. They are free and deal with measurement to the nearest millimeter, centimeter, and inch. The last app (Splash Math) assesses overall 3rd Grade math knowledge. It is NOT free ($9.99) but it is an amazing tool that we are using for cumulative review in the classroom.
MAP Math Test rescheduled for Monday, March 24th.
Today we learned why it's important to know how to measure fractions of an inch correctly. Also click on the link below for practice with measurement. Don't worry about 8th or 16th of an inch increments for 3rd grade.
Be sure to have your child tune in to the following website for some friendly multiplication practice against his/her classmates. Races start at 7:00 every night.
Here are links for 3 FREE Math Apps we used today when we studied Line Symmetry. These games are for iPad, but there are similar apps for iPhone. Just go to the App Store, search for the name of the app, and pick the iPhone app instead of the iPad app. If you have another good one, please let me know.
